Boat Hire Gear
What gear can you provide for our experience or adventure?
The boats come with all of the mandatory safety gear you need

Remember kids under 12 need to wear a jacket when the boat is being operated so let us know how many kids and what ages and we will provide you with suitable kids jackets.

If you don’t have all of the other equipment you need for your next big adventure or experience on the water, we can hire you additional gear.

Gear Hire
Just select the gear you need when you book your boat.
Fishing Gear

We hire two types of rod/reel combinations. We hire collapsible Shimano rods suitable for wetting a lazy line or for getting the kids first fish. We also hire 6′ Ugly Stick Gold fitted with Finn Nor Lethal reels. They come spooled with mono line and if you don’t have a tackle box we can also provide you with a basic box of tackle that contains weights, hooks, swivels and a couple of basic tools.

Each rod is $30 per day.

Watersport Gear

We offer  Tubes/Biscuits, Water Skis, Wake Boards and Knee Boards. These are $50 each per day and they come with the required ropes and jackets.

For $100 you can have any three pieces of equipment and just try them all out.
Bait

People tend bring their own bait – most tackle shops and servos stock bait. If you are caught short let us know and with a little notice, we can usually provide you with some bait.

Daytime fishos are welcome to take a bait trap and gear (float, weight, rope and cheat sheet) to help get some live bait and if you take the boat for a night fish we can provide a squid light and battery. We can also provide a berley bucket to hang over the side and a sea anchor if you want to slow the drift over your favourite spot – great for the artificial reef off South Head!

We don’t charge for these but please be sure to mention that you want one when you book your boat.

Cray Gear

We can also hire you a cray trap and gear (bait bag, float, weight, rope and cheat sheet) which can be fun to set at the start of your trip and then pick back up on the way in.

The Cray Trap is $30 per day.
